Digital Art - Lazarus Media - Photoshop cs2 Duration - 3 days 3 hours full size - should be around 800 x 600 [gallery]
Being in the uni for days after the finals while the rest of your friends are busy packing and going home isn't fun at all. I blame myself for my terrible sense of dates. Cis.... I always thought May has 30 days. Mana tau it's 31 days. I could've gone home yesterday. Go home today maybe sisa-sisa pansoh kot... (pansoh - pork cooked in bamboo... nice!)
So, while waiting for time to pass terribly fast, I created Lazarus. Yes, hence the duration it took. Haha... I wished I had that much interest in doing my homework... lolz...
Anyway, enough complaining, flying in 30 minutes. So there, chowz and happy holidays!
Hear ye hear ye~! I'm gonna do this during the holidays, so I hope that you guys are able to give me your details soon. Hehe... Just in case you guys go missinge in action la kan. And hopefully, by the begining of the semester, I'll be able to pass them to you guys. If your away, then... maybe by snail mail? Hehe...
It was Wesak Day, of which I can't even remember the existance. Ahaha... So then, since it was a public holiday, the library was closed. Finally after seeking for a place to study, we decided to study in church.
It was really cool, To have an entire room for yourself, well not exactly for your self, since I went there with roomie and vinny. The moment we arrived, we set up our spot and drooled over our books. Me, being at the PA place, and vinny and roomie at the couch... until after a while I decided to just join them there.
Tick... tock.... (mind you, we've been there since from 1pm).... Tick... Tock.... "ok, im bored.."
Ahaha... and so, we fixed the keyboard, and roomie played it while vinny at the drum. And me? I spent 10 whole mins on the phone layaning my bro. That's like RM10 of my maxis credits. But its my bro, so, anything goes. Haha....Actually, come to think of it, the keyboard is super nice. I mean, since its new and all. But seriously, Even if you don't quite know how to play it, you just have to touch it at least. Thank you God for the new keyboard~ ^_^
And then, we went for dinner, and picked up Henry and Joel. Lolz... Yeah, i guess, three wasn't that fun. While waiting for the two boys, feeling a little buggy, I decided to put vinny's cap on his head, and... little did i realized, it was the begining of a series of slang speaking vinny talkin. Ahahah... O man, and we were singing and shouting and singing some more in the car, of coz to the music la kan. And we sang some more, til the boys arrived and we sang some more.... I think, that was the first time we went that insane. Lolz... As vinny puts it, blame it on Mechatronics.
Ahaha... So then 1 big happy family in church. Come to think of it, we should always make some time to hang in church. ^_^
Finally went back to uni at around 11pm for prayer meet, and then back into room. A very simple, but productive day. Ahaha..
Happy 20th Birthday C-BAZ~ All the best in life and God Bless (^_^)
uh oh.... the othe thing that was really interesting about today was that how a very simple plan of going out for dinner, can turn out to be one great outing. From lets go dinner, to let's eat MCD.... Drove all the way to town, but why all the way to town just for MCD, so lets go for some thing else...
And thus, the plot was MCD ---> 1919 ----> Jyu Japanese food as in from western to chinese to finally japanese. Oh, and it's also the first time that a birthday kid belanja on his birthday. ahaha... Thanks alot!
and the closing ceremony was no other than our very favorite ----->
craving for fruit ice cream (sold at some night stall in ipoh)
It is this time of the semester again. A time when the brain is not
allowed to stop thinking, a time when there is not such thing as
enough, and a time where you can never look back and sigh and scorn at
the finishing result. This is the perfect time to feel very useless,
the time to feel longing and the time to feel the absolute lost and
fear.
But, most of all, this is the time when faith is the essence of the entire moment, from the begining of it till the end.
This is the Final Exam Period.
Given the first draft, everyone already felt that there is unjust and
evilness lurking everywhere, simplified, lousy timetable + rushing of
projects + due of assignment + speeding lectures = depressed students.
Very much looking forward to = holidays in Miri + Sleep + Gawai + home + love love + being lazy + dream job
There is always a limit to how much one can take something in at a time. And once that limit is reached, we would always figure out a way to get away from it. It doesn't matter what we do, as long as the pressure is released. You can always, sleep, scream, scribble/doddle, give a blur look or an annoyed look, and etc.
For roomie and i, we would prefer to walk. Ahaha.. yes, walk. We would usually walk after dinner (probably in attempt to burn the fats right after consuming them. ^^;;). Then, we would walk from whichever cafe we ate, to the park near the main gate, and then to the sport's center, then finally back to the hostel, which would take about 2 hours min. Sometimes, we would walk even to the chancelor hall via the back road. One time, a friend saw us, and he immediately pm-ed me and told us to be careful. For what, I asked him innocently. And he answered back.... "There are wild boars out there.."
Wild boars?! Hahaha.... wild boars I tell you. An entire family of them resides in the forests surrounding our uni. How cute is that? And in case they're not enough to make a forest, really a forest here... we have buffalos, grazing in the field, and monkeys playing in the trees. On top of that, we have huge unknown species of birds flying around, and random version of bugs and lizards. Aaaand....
to add to the family, we keep our very own rodents~!
Weiβ(left) and Basil (right) dining (Shane on the way up)
as you can see, Basil wouldn't move, even if Shane has asked nicely
Meet Basil aka fluffball (Prince of England), Shane aka daredevil (Prince of Ireland), and Weiβ Jeeves aka long-nose (Prince of Germany) There are 3 royal hamsters aka hamu-hamu. Royal in my definition as such because they dine in a 'golden bowl', sleeps on golden citrus beddings, and bathe in rose scented white sand. And, they get their 'maids' to do their homes once in three days. So, now don't you wish that you are one of them?
Initially they were only Basil and Shane. Then came Weiβ, a totally different species of hamu-hamu, who is only 3 weeks old now (the rest are 1 month old). Amazingly, they are happily playing in the cage.
Hoho... I guess, that's all for now. I always hated the connections here. Ahaha.. There are loads of pics, but they won't load well, so... you get the point. ^_^ Chowz for now!
Yesterday was finals, yes, finals for Euphonious 2008, Battle of the Band, UTP style.
chancelor hall's stage
We were so ready, so energized till sound check time. Then all hopes went down the drain. I always hated last minute plans. Ish.... very nice la you all. Bully us. I know la we all small kids. Ish..
Anyway, the night was awesome. We were arranged in the order Capoiz, Band Jamen, Raptors, Retrodelic and finally Yasha.
Ahaha.. Damn nervous, seriously out of this world nervous. The moment Capoiz went on stage, we had to be back stage already. I supposed we were the liveliest band, singing and jumping around backstage while waiting for our turn. We were soooo ready, even though we were seriously angry at the sound system. Sigh...
Then, the moment of truth came. (It was plug and play kinda stuff, no such thing as tuning). Intro was slow. But what the heck, just play!.
It was really cool, the lightings, the performing, the crowd. Man, awesome.
At the end of the performance, the judges gave comments, which we all were wondering what was he saying. Ahaha.. sorry guys, ur mikes... were terrible. We had a low evaluation, whatever the matter is for. But what the heck, its over anyways. lolz....
And then we sat and watched all the rest performing. I seriously have no hope that we will win, taken that the rest of the bands, apart from ours were all previous year's finalist, therefore, you can imagine the number of fans they have. (70% judges, 30% votes).
Honestly speaking, I slept through the entire performance. I was so exhausted and hungry, I couldn't care less of what is going on. The music was so terribly loud, i literary went to puke somewhere. Lolz... i guess the nervousness, I didn't eat at all since in the morning.
When they announced the winner, we knew we were gonna get last anyways. I knew we wanted more, but we failed at the voting part. Oh well, next time, need more fans. nyahah....
But then, we were happy too, first time in history, that from a single band, we managed to grab 2 awards, the award for best bassist and best drummer. Hehe... It was soooo cool. (begining to miss the jaming session already).
our adorable sabahan bassist (muka punya blur, we all like, what the... macam mana itu, Tius?!! Macam mana boleh dapat itu??!)
the super cool guitarists
Didn't get first prize also nevermind, we're all having fun! from left :majin(drummer), faliq(lead guitar), ignatius(bassist/vocalist), cbaz (guitar), me(keyboardist) and gedo(vocalist) front from left : lisa (vocalist), sakilah (bunang/gamelan)
Guys, you're all the best! Next time, grab the other awards! It was really really a fun and beautiful week with you guys, the practice and all. Gonna miss that part the most. Seriously. no matter what....
After a while, finally I have something to write about. Ahaha...
And honestly, this has been a really busy week. I know I made alot of enemies already. Postponing my projects, meeting, homeworks, all for the love of this. I think i wii die soon.
It came so sudden, when a friend asked if I can help to find a keyboardist for their band. And I, for once didn't think offered to be their player. It was just a fun thing to do during the weekend. I never knew who my members were, except for the 1 person who asked me. I never knew who I will be performing with until 3 days before prelims. Lolz... and the practice was .... 3 days before the prelims too. Keyboard was hard to search for, so then, I thank God for blessing the church with a keyboard. I promise I'll take care of it!
my baby~ the blessed church keyboard ^_^
The prelims (22nd march) was tough! Serious tough. And watching other bands, made us wana cry. Ahaha..It was too good to be true, now we are in the FINALS~! Woo hoo~ Go Band Jamen! (this is like engineers turn musician. Ahaha...)
the stage
Roomie also competed. Hehe... and she CAN sing!! Envy envy.... but then, i guess the judges were terribly mean to give her group such comments. Somehow, the judges just couldn't find better words to describe a performance..
And so, the top 5 are mostly last semester 's group. Whoa..
And, interestingly, if roomie's group and another friend's group, it would be the entire church committee that made it to the finals. Haha... that would be cool.
Oh, and by the way, Euphonious is just like The Battle Of The Bands, our uni version. But I supposed that the thrill is there when we are able to make our way and the climax of the event is being able to perform at the chancelor hall. ^_^ Yes, The Chancelor Hall. This is like, so super cool.... sorry for bragging, but I'm just so happy for the band. My very first own band~ You guy's rock!!
Finals is on the 28th March. Friday night. 1 more week from now.. heeelp~
Life is taking it's toll on me. Ahaha... so long since I last updated. That's like 3 months. Nothing much happened that's interesting to write about anyway. That's why. The basics: Class has been tough. Like wana die oredi. It's kinda hard to explain. Lecturers are interesting beings in this uni.
Esu gave a talk again as usual, and also as usual, they never do bring good news. Haiseh... if it were that easy, do you think we'd all b having dark circles. Ish!
But! The most interesting thing was that... VALENTINE IS EVIL (?) Ahaha... really funny. Don't know la. I wonder if the world's coming to an end? Ahaha... Oh well, I can't seem to comment on this.
This is really random update. I shall update one soon, that is if I have something interesting. Oh, I know... maybe Tambun and Bukit Merah rant. haha.. When I have the time.
I actually updated this earlier, but then some server error.... So I have to retype this again. Huah... Lolz... No biggie neways.
This update goes waaay back a week ago. Hwahaha...
Anyways, my last paper was last wednesday, 28th Nov, and by then my exam mood was terrible. Not that I was that stressful, but I think this was the most relaxed exam Ive ever had. I mean, think about it, you have 5 papers of which you have 1 week gaps for some of them. While others finished theirs like ages ago, you are left wondering what to do when the last one is like 7 days later. Unless you have never seen the paper before, then this might be a great time for you to actually master the entire topics, but knowing me, thinking of holidays and going home makes things even more worst. Some more, the night before this certain paper, my roomie happily told me about their plan to go to the hot spring right after my test. Can you believe it? Throughout the whole 3 hours paper, the only thing which I could think of was playing with water. Haha... I hope I dont have to suffer much for it when the result is out nxt week. Lolz.
The food we ate...
Sungkai. which is where the hot spring is located is like about 3 hours from my uni. But before that, the 9 of us, we had a great lunch at some kampung. Trust me, the cooking was awesome! I mean it. We ordered like 2kg of prawns and more random stuff. All in all, our lunch(only) costs RM200+. Haha... yea, now wouldn't you wana study hard and get a scholarship yourself? Lolz. Then we journey like south... And finally reached sungkai at 5.00pm. The place was really nice. Seriously.
The places we went...
There were acres and acres of waterland. The water park was divided to two parts, the normal pool. And the hot spring. Lolz. Played till so late. Haha...And the most interesting part was the boiling eggs. Oh yea, actually the hot spring was divided to mini ponds. 30-35 degrees celcius being the not so hot. then you make it through 35-40 degrees celcius, then to 40-42 degrees celcius. Finally, when you're ready, then you go to the family pool, which is about 50-70 degrees celcius. The egg boiling pond on the other hand is about 90-100 degrees celcius. It was really great, but unfortunately, it kinda rained for a while, so we had to get out.
The friends we hang out with...
Then later on, we had another great dinner at Kampar. I looove the chicken curry in bun. So yummy! After dinner, just for fun, we made a trip to inner Kampar to visit UTAR. Well, not really visit in the uni, but just hanging out at the long bridge facing it. Man, from across the bridge, we can actually see the silhuette and partial parts of the main building. It was like the Malaysian version of Rom. Haha... But I know for sure, that if I entered this uni, I'd probably died of starvation or out of place. This uni is known to be for the rich and famous, and highly populated with the chinese society.
We reached our uni at about 1am, which gives me approximately 3 hours to start packing and get ready for another trip. Whee~
My roomie and I left uni at 8am, 29th Nov, and headed for the bus station, and get a bus to KL. I could have just get a bus straight to KLIA and fly back home, but no, I insisted that we go visit our seniors in KL. It was really great. Our seniors all pack themselves in one huge nice house. Cool! That night, a senior took us to a mamak shop for a really filling dinner. The jug of juice was soooo huge!
The senior we visited...(and lepak with)
Haha... then after that we headed off for TGIF at Cineleasure. The brownie was so huge, so sweet, so yummy! Haha... I know, I'm overdoing it here. Then as the finale, we went to watch Enchanted at the cinema. Talk about full swing. Haha..
30th Nov, just the following day, I went to KLIA via the KLIA express after an interesting ride using the LRT to the KL central. I tell you, if you drop me here in the middle of KL, I'd probably die somewhere, lost and never found. Haha...KL is like maze... whee~ That evening, I reached home, and got ready for the Family Carnival. They had many interesting artists that night, but sorry la, I'm more interested in the food the stalls had to offer. (^_^) The family carnival lasted for 3 days. FOOD!!
The carnival we went...
It's actually kinda funny that even though I'm studying waaay away from home, I'd always made it in time to go for the carnival. It's like it waited for me. Hehe.. The best thing that came out of this is of course, my new baby~!
The new family...
Oh, and I finally registered for next semester subjects! Haha...Anyone wana follow? 1. Electromagnetic Theory 2. Analogue Electronics II 3. Mandarin I 4. Signals and Systems 5. Communication Systems 6. Corporate Ethics 7. Probability and Statistics total: 22 crdt hrs.
Suicide, I know....
Then, on Monday and Tuesday, 3rd-4th Dec, I joined a course on how to manage your very own home library, by the Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka, Sarawak. Hey, what can I say? I was bored. Lolz... Not really la, my aunt was conducting it, so I just joined it. Seriously, it really was educational. I actually went back home and arranged my books. Haha...
The shelf... lolz
And, just to end this wonderful week, I went down to town with Mom and JJ yesterday, so, while she was doing her business, my bro and I decided to search for the latest season of starz, which we found. Then, as usual, I would flip through the mag, when suddenly this time I say my artwork on display again. Lolz. So, I told by bro, and he just snickered, its not like you win. haha... and the fun part was, I didn't know too, till I read it carefully and showed in to him. Lolz. Amazingly, I won. Haha...
Lolz, I actually submitted it last June, and then It appeared on starz issue #68 for voting, and the result came out in Dec isssue #71. To see the full image, (yea, I know, I uploaded it on deviantart. Hehe...) go here---> [LINK]
Thank you so much for all who voted. Well, even if it's not such a big thing for some, but for me, It really means alot. ^_^ Hehe... now I know that my work isn't that terrible also.
Well, i guess, that's all for now. Hehe... Next update would probably be next year.. lolz..
