The Middle of the Night..?

It's the middle of the semester actually. And I finally discovered that I had actually forgotten that I had alot of things to do. But I supposed being busy does seem to come in the same package of a final year student. ahaha... It's interesting. I am in final year. Oh, yeah... I can't really believe I'm in final year.

Final year means the existence of final year project. It's kind of odd. To think that I am actually running around to find equipments and devices for my project. I think I need a whole load of help. Ahaha...

I'm crapping silly, I know. Its the whole not sleeping for more than 2 days thingie. Argh.... Am getting uglier buy the minutes.

I Wana Hang Out More....

Photobucket  Photobucket
from left: Me, biba, ah lian, adam, ema, and jj

These are some pictures taken last year during our cousin outing. I remembered that it was a day after Christmas, since my Christmas was spent on the road.

The cousin outing. It's what we all have been waiting for. Actually every year, magically only at the end of the year that we are able to see each other. That's because everyone's busy with studying and stuff. The cousins, aren't actually made up of the 6 of us only, but actually there's more. However, the rest apart from us, were either too old to hang out with us bunch of youngsters, or either too young to even know what a 'decent' conversation is.

And so, there are 6 of us.

Outing. We never really did much. And as far as family goes, its the same. The main event would always be sitting down at one of the 'Starbucks' look-alike cafe and talk nonsense and stuff. What was it called again? Owh yeah... Bing!. And we can spend like hours and hours. Playing with our phones, camcorders, reading mags and PDAs.

me with my PDA, and biba with evin glare
(im addicted to my phone...argh..)

And who could forget, the RM10.00(at least) cup of mocha and RM8.00 (also at least) for a slice of cake.

Don't they make your mouth water?

After all the yummies, I seriously need some workout...
But anyways, I miss you guys~

Beating The Rain...

Photobucket
Apphia and me
^_^

Being depressed and down is simply very tiring. Seriously tiring. Being a worry-wart does have its bad side. You, without realizing give birth to the sleepless nights (which I thought would never end, it still hasn't yet, but I'm trying to), the endless moping around, looking suicidal and dead, countless heartaches and pain, searing pain. The 1 week of complete hell. But then, I supposed that would rather have an end somewhere, else I'd probably go insane. Added the rain, the weather seemed to understand, but I wished it wouldn't show such aching sympathy.

(am I being a little wordy and poetic here?)

I thank God so much for blessing me with girlfriends. It's as if He knew. And when the time comes and you really need to spill your guts out, there is always someone to bother lending their ears. Being a girly girl, I supposed we tend to be wordy and fuss over little things. But I don't consider every single event in my life 'little'. I think of it as a life-threatening situation, nevertheless. Life may be drama, heart-wrenching and down right stupid, or maybe beautiful, gorgeous and very glamorous. But the thing is still there, we love to talk. It doesn't matter if you have no idea what we mean, or have no clue and answer (since most of the time we answer our own questions), girls just want to talk. And when we say there's nothing wrong, trust me, there is something. And even the thoughest of heart, they still break easily.

Apart from the usual work at the plant, I supposed I've done almost all the possible things that I could do to fill up my week so that when night falls, I'd be terribly exhausted and fall asleep. The very point is that I don't end up thinking of ridiculous stuff before bed. Though I have no idea why in the world after all that I would still end up waking up at 3am.

I thank God for the wonderful saturday. It's amazing how out of so many days, this particular day it didn't rain. Heavenly right? And so, I went out with a dear friend of mine. Having almost the same brain, we roamed the mall (it's the only mall in Bintulu anyways) and OH so Glorious again, I found nice novels to read. And so I happily bought 2 (previously, I've wanted terribly to read something and I have no idea why would the library be closed at such odd hours). We spent some long hours of talking and telling stories. How I've missed these times terribly. Have you ever noticed how when you get so drowned into things, time just passed by ever so fast, but when you're idle, time also stops? Funny..

There should be more times like these. Outings and stuff. It's not like you want to forget what is going on wrong in your life, it's just a short retreat, somewhat a vacation, and hopefully when you return, everything will fall to place. Hopefully. And yes, hope is the essence of living i supposed. without hope, I don't supposed there's another day. ahaha...(am i too old to be a lil emo?)

well, i guess that's all. for now... ^_^;;

What would you do?

What would you do where you're feeling not at peace. Not a single peace at all. And you have not slept in days. And you have nothing to look forward to anymore when your reason to look forward has suddenly wondered off. And something you've wished for came, and left in just one small breath, and all you wanted to do is just get it back, but then, you realized, that maybe, you're trying so hard, and maybe, it's just there, but you're the one floating elsewhere.

What would you do, when all you wanted is just to be like others , to own something and then have it for yourself, to keep it, and to hide it from the world, to be selfish enough to rip it's freedom off, just so you could have your very own salvation? And better still, leave it to bleed. just so you can satisfy your own need.

Finally, what would you do, if the very thing you own, decides to stay instead, of having it the other way, that very own thing lying in its own pool of hope, waiting and waiting, and waiting some more, so that you of all person, would wake up, would find a way, and realize that you're not alone. and that thing right there is just there. void of any movement.continuing to hope and wait, so that at least, just once, maybe you would realize that its just there.

What would you do?

Interning~ (an update after super long time)

me n myself
Topsy-Turvy at work

First, since I haven't been updating in ages, am gonna lump up everything into this single blog. Hoho... this post may seem a lil' bit ridiculous. Oh well... haha..anyways, on with the update~

It came as a surprise to find out who my next door neighbor was. Yeaps, it's Ajit from the Chemical Department. He came correct timing also since it was the launching day for the ABF Family Day Carnival (28th Nov). Sarah came the next day. Hoho.. Unfortunately both of them are interning in MLNG.Hoho..

It's more than an amazement to me that it has been almost 2 weeks since I started working. There are 6 of us from the uni interning here.

pinat n me chai n leo
From left: Syafinaz, Me, Kian Chiew and Leo

Owh, and for anyone's information, I am currently doing my 8 month internship at ASEAN Bintulu Fertilizer. Yeah, pretty near my house. It's a petrochemical plant, producing Ammonia and Urea. No, it's not exactly stinkin'. Hohoho... Maybe my nose sumbat or what, but I haven't sniffed anything hazardous yet. Hehe..

The first day of work, obviously am pretty much hyped up. I can remember the first question that I asked the HR department.."How do I apply for leave?". Lolz... since christmas coming bah. The people here are super friendly so it was nice to chat with them. Am also currently in the middle of briefing. Yeah, as my status on the GTALK for these 2 weeks that I put is "HOLIDAYING". The briefing took ages since the persons in charge are always busy, and so they had to cancel their slot. And since it is a requirement for us to undergo briefings from various departments, we are not allowed to be released into our designated workplace until all the briefing is completed. Hence, the 2 weeks briefing/short holiday.

Therefore, in the meanwhile, for the entire briefing week, we had to stay in the HR department, since it's the only place we are allowed to access (no pass yet). We were given a meeting room to hangout since the planned briefing is never confirmed. So, usually while waiting, we would chat, surf the net, sleep, eat and lepak-ing at the cubicles talking with the fellow HR people.

 bored issue 2
This is what I mean by free.. hence the computer

Throughout the briefing also there is this one HR clerk who was assigned to take care of our well being. And it was really cool, since he was super friendly, and so rajin layan our kerenah..He has to escort us everywhere we wanted to go. Especially to the cafeteria. Hehe...Not to mention the 2 weeks of free food, since it is a compulsory briefing, and as usual, in PETRONAS, as long as it is a briefing/function food allowance will be provided.

bored issue 1
At the cafe, out of boredom

Anyways, hopefully by next week, we are able to be released to our workstation and actually start with our designed task. But then, coming soon are all the holidays, namely christmas and new year. LOLZ... am still wondering what to tell the lecturer on the first visit. Since, the first 2 weeks was simply briefing, and 1 week work, and 1 week holiday. Heheh.. Yellow army coming up soon. ^_^

Tomorrow got chess tournament some more... add up to my nerd-ness. Ahaha... as my bro put it.
--------------------------------------------------------------

Out of topic abit...

me for dinner
*Poke Poke...am ready for dinner~ lolz*

In the middle of work, there was also my church dinner at the Everly Hotel. It was actually last sunday, the 7th Dec 2008. Praise God for the new building. This dinner was actually to raise some money for paying back their leftovers. It was cool really, through this dinner, they have well raised the amount of about RM44000. Cool huh? Next time I shall load up the new hall picture for you guys to admire. hehe...

Well, so far for an update. Hehe... hopefully will update the next one soon. ^_^

Gabby's Birthday Bash~!

Congratulations, Gabby~! You've found a spot on the most oh-so-fab blog! Hehehe... ehem~!

Neways, was joking la..

.gabby

It's Gabby's Birthday~! Happy BIrthday~! Hope you

had a wonderful time and all the best in life!

Went to Moven Peak to celebrate the night before. Nyaha...Steamboat.... wasn't like any other steamboat I've ever had. It was marvelous. And, talk about the plates of Prawns that was peeled. If I'm not mistaken, Hann said that he took 10 plates. And the lady kept staring at us. Hoho....

And then there was a series of what to do after that. Of which everything backfires, as in The whole stuff that we wanted to do was closed. Che. And it was barely 11pm. Suddenly the place turned into a secured Kid's playground.

I'd gladly put in pictures, but the connection... well, you get the gist.

And,before I close this, I just got tag by pinky. So.....

1. Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself.

2. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird things/habits/little known facts as well as state the rules clearly.

3. At the end, you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names.

4. No tags back!
(what is the difference betwee dis tag and the one before? hm..)

Well... here goes...
1. I bite my nail when im nervous
2. I love to peel my lips when i have nothing to do or when I'm drowned in something.
3. I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate spiders. The are a menace. And I must kill everyone of them.
4. I'm claustrophobic. I hate small places. I feel like suffocating if I'm in a small area.
5. I adore weird animals. Hence, the pet iguana, and the endless nights where I used to go frog hunting with bro late at night.
6. I have a thing for guys with glasses. I find them appealing the non-glasses guys.
7. I am easily pleased. Just give me food, and I'll do anything for you... well, not that everything, but you get my point.
8, I'm afraid of people. I'm afraid of you. So, if I don't layan you, doesn't mean I don't like you, I'm afraid of you.
9. I'm a clutz for technical stuff (studies), but I can tell you what to do with your drawing especially anatomy.
10. If I like you, I'll stick to you like glue. But once you get on my bad side, that's it.

Hehe.... well, end~!
I tag....
1. Eddy
2. Olivia
3. Leslie
4. Isaac
5. Jo

hehe... Ganbatte!

Study Week... And Counting

my friend

Whee~ I am back! Well, partially that is. I think I have neglected this blog waaay too long. And lookie here, its already towards the finals. It's actually study week now actually.

Buuuuut~ I have few good reasons for this.

1. The internet stinks

2. The internet stinks.... where I reside though. Am using wireless in the room, because my LAN cable is spoiled, and I refuse to get a new cable.... ohohoho...

3. Im just plain lazy. Serious.

It has been a suuuper long semester. With the projects and all, that I just simply need to give up on all my favorites like.... well, the usual stuff. And then, I watched my fellow friends updating their blogs ever so happily. And I wonder, wasn't it me who was busy bragging about the goodness of blogging like ages ago? Where have I been? There is just too much beautiful things happening this semester, and I just never updated. What is wrong with me?

Anyways, there's this thing that's been going on around d circle of blogs these days, and that's the tags. Lolz... Yeah, I've been tagged by Eddie.

Soooo.... here goes..Here are the rules. To tag along: you have to list 7 weird things about yourself, post it in your blog, tag at least 7 people (list their names), and comment on their blog to let them know that you just tagged them.

ahaha.... weird fact... err... owkay..

1. I have the 'don't care' look, but actually I do care. Especially when it comes to doing group work. Somehow, I'd end up offering myself to do the compiling, editing and printing.... after a series of grumbling, ranting and babbling at the background...(>.<);;;

2. I freak out super fast. I seriously hate to organize. Because if I do plan, it has to go according to plan, else I'd freak out and create a full blast tantrum.

3. I love desserts. I would eat so much until I can't move. Especially in a buffet. If they have a gorgeous amount of desserts, I will stuff myself up with them first before going to the main course.

4. I'm a messy person. Yes, sadly it's true. It's a habit which I would so love to rid off. But when I'm overly indulged with something interesting, I just dump my stuff everywhere and flee. But amazingly, I still can find my stuff. Ohohoho...(and tell you where to look for it).

5. I love staring at hands, wrists and necks. I'm sorry if I stare, its an obsession. Don't ask me why. I find them sexy. lolz.

6. I collect just about anything that is collectable. in my 21 years of living, I have collected pets, stickers, coins, stamps, nails (yes...until my mom threw the jar away), hair (I used to keep long hair, then cut, and store somewhere.... ) comic books from certain artist, novels (it must have vamps in them, or anything with series..), ghost movies, music scores, herbs and spices.... are you afraid of me now?

7. I have the ability of not eating and drink for two whole days if I'm drowned in drawing and photoshoping. Hence, It is absolutely necessary to make sure i don't sit idle wit a pen and a paper in hand, or a mouse with full batts (wireless mouse). I also hate to go to the toilet unless it is sooooooooo necessary.

Phew~ Now that;s over. Here's the twisted bit, also taken from Eddie, because she took it from Gabby, Taken from Gabs "i think i gonna change the rules of the tags a little bit. Now, besides listing down 7 weird things about urself, you have to list down 7 weird things about the person who tagged you. and post in the blog and tag 7 more people. hehe...all the best."

so, eddy, here goes.....

1. Is a study freak. Seriously, if you're like a person who has no desire to even flip a page of your book, one stare at her, and that's it. My inspiration to study. hehe...

2. Is a person who has the ability to nap for 5 mins and up and running after that. This.... is true. It's freaky.

3. Is a soft spoken human. Have you ever seen her raise her voice? Lolz... maybe not here, at home? Don't know la. But she angry also she can keep quiet. No wonder I'm her roomie. Lolz...

4. Does the skipping. It's not weird, but i think it is. I don't know.... ahaha...

5. Is my food toxicity detector. She has indegestion and utp is the main evil-ness. She can tell the level of toxicity of the food in utp but how long it takes for the food to be digested and the rest is history.

6. Is a great analyzer. We have a hobby of analyzing people. And she has one of the best analyzing skills like... ever!

7. Is a goodie two shoes. She's so good, there's no reason to hate her. It's true. Tell me, do you have any valid reason to hate her? ^_^ My point exactly.

Yeah~ The end of that. Haha... It's so amazing how tags can evolve right under your nose. Anyways, I'll tag...

1. Ah Lian

2. Biba

3. Crystal

4. And whoever who wana do this.... ahaha...

Warning? Hehe...

IRC – Information Resource Center. It is the best building in UTP because of the network connection and air-condition. Not to mention the soft chair/sofa. Lolz… And also, this is where you'd find me most of the time especially during the day, else you'd see me whining and grumbling about the heat in the room.

Been researching on sensors, when this message at the counter striked me...

Dear Students,

Practice of parking in revers position on campus is made compulsory to all staff and students from 28th July 2007. The pbjective is to ensure that all vehicles can be evacuated in orderly and speedyy manner during emergency and to reduce potential road accident.Reversing into somewhere you can see(often a parking bay) rather than reversing out into somewhere you can't see (often a line of moving traffic) is much safer.

Reverse parking is also an HSE requirement of UTP and PETRONAS Group of Companies. By practicing the reverse parking, we hope that the number of road accidents on campus can be reduced. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.

Thank You,

HSE department

Hehe.. so then, people who is driving, i suggest you sharpen you reverse parking skills, coz i see another new reason for a saman is up. Then again, its all for the love of safety. Either RM30 saman or RM1k repairing.
